the tpw is excellent , so much better then the chemical sh*t turbo yeast

i'm a big rum drinker , has anyone tried a molasses wash with panela / rapadura sugar?

hey mate, welcome!

i haven't used panela myself but i think you would need to use only a very small amount of molasses otherwise it will over power the panela. say only a cup of molasses per kg of panela. should make a fairly nice light rum through the reflex, or pot still and oak for a bit more of a body

Doesn't get more simple then that

Thanks for the welcome Guys

Andy, yeah i was thinking of using less molasses as the panela is just evaporated cane juice , so should make a nice white rum or agricole style rum :)
