G'day from the goldcoast

Say Hi and introduce yourself

G'day from the goldcoast

Like to say hello to all,

I've been running a t500 for about 6 months now using turbo washes.

It's been coming out alright but after reading some posts on here I've decided to go away from the brew shops and go a tpw wash.

I've got 2 cooking up now so I'll see how they go. The t500 is good for neutrals but real pita with water management.

I'd like to go a pot still so I've got a lot of learning to do 1st.

Cheers and thanks

Welcome drunk,

Ah don't tell me.. someone flushes the loo and the temp on the still jumps routine?... gotta love it...not!

A pot's a good start especially if your chasing rums and whiskys...prolly never need to change realistically.
Enjoy the TPW lower cost and effort...there's a few other to try also depending on drink prefs.

enjoy!

Cheers thanks

Yes the water is a issue. I've got it running now with a pond pump out of a 200lt drum as the kitchen and dunnys were off limits for good 4 hrs at a time. The boss wasn't impressed.

Working ok at moment.

If I knew what a pain in the arse it was with water I wouldn't of bought it.

But I didn't and I did so I'll put up with it. It does make a good product .

Gday D,

Welcome aboard

I too would have steered away from the T500 if i had my time over again.

Thats the beauty of hindsight

However, once you get the water usage issue under control, as you have. Then you get some TPWs under your belt, and get a handle on making good cuts, believe me mate the T500 will give you a very good, clean neutral :D

You just have to realise that the rig is not the issue, its what you run through it that counts :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome to the forum. A bloke borrowed my flow controller for his t500, came back with a grin on his face, went and bought one.
