Hi all
I'm Mick from the Sunshine Coast Qld
I'm a novice and am just lurking and reading at the moment.
Don't even own a still at this point, but with an engineering background may consider building something basic perhaps not sure.
Cheers for now

Welcome aboard mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Biggest question is what drinks are you going to want to make?

Hi Andy
I'm hearing you, I should have said a TRADE background in engineering, precision machining etc blah blah but enough of that.
Sam I mainly drink dark rum but also enjoy liqueurs a little later in the evening. So what do you suggest as a good starting point?

Well a potstill will make a nice Rum for you and depends how you want to make liquers it could also work for that.

If you want to use a nuetrel base for liquers then you will want a type of reflux still.

If you want something that does both well then you want a modular bubbler with packed section.

Depends if you want to build or buy and how much cash you have to spend on the hobby :handgestures-thumbupleft:
