Hey guys

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hey guys

Postby Pete8686 » Mon May 26, 2014 3:16 pm

Hello there, I've been reading over this forum for months trying to get a grip on the art of distillation. And thought it was about time I joined lol. After much discussion with the mrs i got myself a ss 2' boka with a 1m column and seperate 30cm head with a copper coil. Scraping up everything else I need to start my first run. Starting on neutrals then after afew batches I'll make a potstill and try my luck at whiskeys. Anyway no doubt you'll hear from me with some possibly stupid questions (ill try to keep it to a minimum lol). Happy to be a part of this community and have an awesome day! :)

Im gonna pack it with copper scrubbers, just so my distillate passes through some extra copper. And logic won over the mrs lol it'll pay itself off in no time :-D

If you get cheap ones they will rust in a heartbeat :handgestures-thumbdown:

The best shit you can get is the rolls of copper mesh which you can source in Oz now through the 5 star shop :handgestures-thumbupleft:
