Looking at building a still, so reading lots of posts to get an idea.

Drink Bourbon so suppose a pot still is the place to start.

Think I will start on a boiler, got a couple of legs. Electric element, 4inch opening to fill & clean , connect the column to the keg via the original 50mm outlet.

Open to suggestions everyone as this is all new to me.

Love the forum.

Welcome mate.

Sounds like you're on the right track to me. Most start with a pot. And if you start with a 50l boiler you'll have it forever :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thanks guys.
The more you read the more you realise there is a lot of great info to absorb.
The boiler will be my start point so I can get up to speed with what is out there re stills designs.
Would like to build my own to maintain some sanity out of the office and only so many times a bloke can watch MKR, -thank God for "sheds".
Have been on FSD and saved to bookmarks, got some good gear.

Again thanks for the welcome, now get ready for the questions... :-D

Welcome mate. It's good to see guys that find us BEFORE they build a dodgy or ineffective still, or buy an overpriced one.

Don't hold back with the questions, if it can't be answered here you don't need to know the answer :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome mate. Sounds like you have been doing your research. A pot will give you a great bourbon but bet my left nut won't be long before you want a bubbler :D do your boiler right the first time and it will last you forever :handgestures-thumbupleft: good luck mate
