G'day guys and girls from jimboomba QLD

Postby revheadjr » Fri Jul 11, 2014 8:06 pm

Hi all I'm about to make the move from sugar to grain and I was just wondering where's the best place to get it from in South Brisbane. I'm also about to build my first still after running 2 5L stills.
I have made a really good rum from molasses and some turbo yeast runs that I wasn't keen on

No added sugar? Would have to be pretty low yielding?

I use 4kg of raw sugar and 4L of molasses in a 40L wash...

as per; viewtopic.php?f=32&t=30

I collected about 3L all up it was around 70% (befor I read about cuts). I filtered it and put it on American oak chips and it is nice

Interesting. If you think that's good, wait until you get cuts sorted :)
