Gidday everyone

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Gidday everyone

Hi there,

Come across here from HD to see what is going on a bit closer to home.

To be honest I prefer building stills to running them, well, to be more precise, I get bored with what I have and want to make something better every time. Mostly usually it kind of works, but on other times, it really rather fails.

I am just building a 50ltr keg/40ltr thumper setup at the moment and rather think my condenser is a wee bit of overkill, but, I suppose that is somewhat better than underkill. I guess I could even post a few pictures of how it looks so farish

It is 100mm with three 38mm tubes. Copper to stainless welded, which is a PITA to tell the truth, it ended up looking like this.

The U bend is the water out, as it is going to be on a 45 deg angle the height of the U means the condenser will be mostly being used, rather than having a void if the nipple was welded straight on to the shell. Anyways, the whole bit looks a bit like this.

I just got the parts to make the parrot that will hang off the bottom today and should be welding that up tomorrow.

PS: I am from New Zealand :) Don't hold it against me.

So that is my hello anyways, or, an introduction at any rate :)
