gday, im brand new member, and have joined hopping to get some advice on starting my first distiller up.
Vodka and Gin are what i would like to make.
what i think i will enjoy is making my own drink from scratch, from choosing the ingredients and seeing it develop.
can anybody give me some advice on choosing the right distiller for the job please.
is a store purchased unit good enough ?
thanks

Welcome bloke,

Gins hey... now there's a life goal in a sentence :handgestures-thumbupleft:

had a bit to do with several gins and really enjoy the playing around with the botanicals and methods.

As to still a bubbler's nice especially since you got the option of placing the gin botanicals basket in the up or down stream vapour paths and having a change over mid run by throwing the still back into full reflux or a Carter head would be nice...depending on what your making.

enjoy

look forward to hearing about your gin adventures

G'day mate :greetings-waveyellow: welcome.
The only store bought rig i would look at is a 5star. Start with the best, you'll only need to buy it once.the best part is If you don't have the budget just buy one of the smaller stills and because their modular you can add on as funds become avalible, more plates, packed section, gin basket even a carter head.

Do plenty of reading and don't rush in and it will all become obvious. Good luck mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:
