Say Hi and introduce yourself

Introduction

Postby piggy » Fri Nov 14, 2014 2:58 pm

Hi everyone, I just want to introduce myself, I was sure i did it when I joined in 2012 but perhaps I didn't. I'm Piggy and live in Melbourne, I have been distilling for 7 years and started with a 25 liter still from my local BREW SHOP. I now use a 50 liter converted beer keg and do a TPW, I hope to build/have built a larger 80 liter still in the near future, I currently use a PARROT to measure my product as it comes out of the still but the temp is way too high and I'm trying to get some info on a PRODUCT COOLER/ PARROT to help alleviate the problem

Hi and welcome

there isn't much surface area in a parrot for cooling, a leigberg, graham or shotgun condenser feeding the parrot will be a better solution, and avoid temp correction at the parrot as they have much greater surface area than a parrot
