Hi all to the wonderful world of diy.
I purchased a t500 over 12 months ago and gained alot of experience in brewing the good stuff. I know that t500's are not the choice of you experts but it was somewhere to start for me. I value all the members experience and take that into consideration in my next project. I am converting my t500 boiler into a pot still. I haven't yet got an adapter from mac yet but will do soon. Just finished pre cutting some pipes for the condenser and parrot and planning the rest. I thought it might be a good idea to use a pin punch in a spiral manner on the inner condenser tube to try and achieve 1 more surface area for the cooling water 2 a spiral motion for the gases to condense, and create more surface area for the gases to condensate on the wall of the inner tube. What do you think? The tower will be 2"pipe two 90*'s and reduced to 3/4, the condenser will be 1 1/2 outer and 3/4 inner, made of copper. By the way I'm in CQ. Thanks for every ones postings and opinions on this forum to better our own knowledge and brew better hooch. :puke-huge:

Hey RDD :greetings-waveyellow: Welcome to the forum.

You'll find plenty of info here on running your T500 as well as possible, and the same when you convert to pot still.

Do what you want on making turbulence in the condenser, even wrapping coper wire around the inner tube to spiral the coolant water :handgestures-thumbupleft:
