Hi everyone and congratulations on a great forum. I have been using a T500 reflux still for a few years and I have been very happy with the results it runs well and distils quiet effortlessly to get the base spirit , but it does take a bit of effort to get a good bourbon and I am yet to taste a good rum. I filter using the still spirits system I double filter! I have wanted for a while to pot still some rum and bourbon, and I was sold a pure distilling pot still to fit my boiler ( which is 2000 watts) so I am keen to get some info on the best way forward from the knowledgable members here I will post my questions in the newbies corner.
Cheers

G'day mate :greetings-waveyellow:

If rum and bourbon is what you desire then I can see a pot still in your future (or a bubbler)

Forget everything the bloke at your brew shop has told you and go and buy a big ass drum off molasses and put down a Macrum, you won't regret it ;-)

Welcome bloke,

sounds like a plan, just a case of the right recipe.. Have a good look through tried and true for bit of motivation.

Enjoy
