Hi from Perth (not far from the Casino)

Postby Cooper1000 » Fri Jan 16, 2015 1:10 am

Hello to everyone,

I am very happy to become a part of this community and look forward to getting to know members
and learning about the craft.
Not very original but everyone calls me Coops, I see I'm not the only one, hello Cooper92. No relation as far
as I know. There is no still in my life just yet, I'm quite handy with the tools so am torn between buy or build.

I'm just enjoying the learning curve for now, reading through the wealth of knowledge thats been built here.
Hats off to all. :greetings-waveyellow:
I have managed to do a couple of washes and get them boiled off with help from a work mate.
Infused some oak, fruit, herbs etc and have been enjoying mixing some funky flavours.

thanks and regards to all, Coops

G'day Coop, welcome to the funhouse.

Let us know what type of build you're planning, and we can give you hints, tips, and a gentle ribbing if you take too long :teasing-tease:

Hi Big D, Hi Zak, thank you,
at this stage I'm researching reflux columns and I'm interested in LM to produce Neutrals, still haven't figured out how you guys deal with the pressure build up when choking off the out flow, guess there is a pressure relief valve built in somewhere?
If any one can remember a thread around that kind of stuff, would be appreciated.
cheers

Never mind the above post,.. I've had the wrong end of the stick,
…its the RC water flow that's restricted not the product

No mate, in an LM (liquid management) reflux still such as a Boka, the needle valve controls the reflux ratio by restricting the flow of distillate. The top of the column must be open to the atmosphere ;-)
