Someone like bolt master or united fasteners will stock ss booker rod. The ones I've seen in Bunnings are only gal or zinc coated. Haven't got a super store up here though

The website for the big green box says they don't have SS threaded rod. Not even as a special order. Besides you can often get stuff like that cheaper at businesses that specialise in fasteners.

Honestly hillz size isn't too important for me but preferably m12 or smaller as i'm going a 3" column and want more space on the plate rather than less. Preferably 1m length as i'm only doing 5 plates all up.

If you have a united fastners over there I would head there. I bought 3x 1mtr lengths of 6mm stainless allthread plus 30 nuts and washers the other day for under $20 :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yeah pretty much any bolts/fasteners supplier will have a little rack of 1m all-thread rod.
Smaller sizes as you have found will be cheaper.

Most of the ones i have seen stock their stainless fasteners from "Hobson" but this may just be a NSW thing.

Industrial suppliers will always be cheaper than the green shed, and they have a better range.

One place I visited did not do cash sales,so ya needed a bank card and had a minimum purchase of either 20 or 50 bucks, and the idiot behind the counter could not figure out why I left laughing at him,I only wanted one m8 stainless castle nut and a mudgaurd washer to match :laughing-rolling: :angry-banghead: ,its a problem I had in the early days ta find supplies, wich is another reason I joined the forum,ta point others in the right direction and to be guided by others as well.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

If your north of the river try West Coast Fasteners in Balcatta there retail counter is down a driveway and behind roller door but clearly signed cheapest stainless steel fixing supplier in Perth by far and they sell direct to the public they will pick your order while you wait
Or if you've got heaps of money and you don't mind going back to pick your order Up 2 days later there's always Austain in Belmont
