1100w, that's going to be a noticeable increase in your power bills!

These are plenty adequate and cheaper to buy and run.

46m head height is massive.
That is more a pool pump than a garden pump.

G'Day Peter,
At least you won't have any cooling issues! Can you adjust the flow pressure? Most only quote the max pressure to show how "tough" they are...

But I'd hazard a guess and say you could use that for all your water-cooling needs!

Not to mention that once your down to smaller diameters it needs that pressure to push it through.
It will do fine.
Just have a manifold so that you can return the rest of the flow back to tank so you don't burn the pumps motor out.

That 1100 watts is also going to add to your total wattage use so if it's on the same circuit as your boiler heater elements you could be over loading the circuit and trip the breaker.

I have 14m of half inch garden hose and my 65watt pumps outlet looks like the hose is on full. Which is way more than needed and can turn it down to the middle setting if I wanted. 65 is cheap to run and can run on the same circuit as a 2400w element without tripping the switch.

Coffee... i run one of those... it lasts all day long, so quiet you dont even know it is running and never even gets warm to the touch. The 3 speed function is excellent with a big difference in volume for each speed. You can switch any time it is working. It does however need to be primed as it is obviously not a submersible, so how it is positioned relative to the water supply and general piping needs a little thought. For 50 bucks its a no brainer..Fleabay has the same one for near 100 bucks... that price is good. Anything bigger may be seriously overkill and dear to run. This thing draws bugger all current.

I believe it was your post that led to my discovery lol.

I put mine at the opening of the ibc lid and tilted the back end in to prime it. I fitted a plastic ball valve for when I shut down so I don't need to prime again! Cheap and effective. Done loads of work over the last yr and still kicking strong!

I run one of these from my 1000 litre water tank to a tap in the brewing room.
I than recirculate the water to a 200 litre drum (via the sink) with an Aldi submersbile pump that than automatically pumps back to the tank.
Works extremely well except I have to watch the temperature of the water on the Aldi pump as it will only take 35 deg C.

Running the alembic post still is okay
Running the T500 I have to store it until cools a bit.
Running the counter flow chiller for beer I have to store it until it cools a bit.

One day might get a submersible pump that will take 60 deg C.

As it use's very little watts, I can run the 2000 Watt boiler without tripping the power.

Cheers

Ned
