Thanks for the heads up about the molasses Divey, some times the simple things in life are offten the best, never thought of actually just ringing bundy sugar :)) . I rang today and they put me onto a brooker in melbourne, can get it for $26 for 14kg. Have to order ahead though as they have to place an order with bundy sugar and they only do it once a month.

Cheers

I just got of the phone with the Bundy sugar rep, then he emaild me this:
Hi Kim further to our conversation the situation is as follows,
Molasses don’t have preservatives and they come in 2 sizes
292kg drums @ $354.00 4 to a pallet
14kg pails 2 $19.90 ea. 75 to a pallet
Orders for a full pallet attract a 10% discount.
At this point we are only able to supply full pallets.
If you require less quantities we can direct your inquiry to one of our Food Service customers who would supply smaller quantities as is already the case with another client. Alternatively I may be able to combine an order with a client who is buying 4 drums at a time , but won’t be able to do anything until I return to Perth.
Will await to hear from you.
Regards Ken

Just the stock feed joint on flemington road for now law, will order some of the better stuff at a later time. Was reading the contents on the bucket of molasses and it says 0.04% sulfur, i thought the way people carry on about it it would have alot more in it, doesnt seem like much.

Yes, the Sulfur is in small amounts, but it makes it a bit harder to ferment on its own.
if you add sugar to the wash, you wont have a problem :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Food Grade Molasses.

Divey,
How did your food grade molasses wash work out? Any different to the produce store molasses that everyone uses?

I have only used this Molasses..none other, so I really can't tell you much more than that. I am on my fifth generation now. I ran my fourth generation yesterday but I am suffering from a bad head cold and can't smell jack shit so I am letting number 4 breath whilst I'm in recovery mode.

The previous runs had a sensational vanilla aroma that was simply unbelievable.

Certainly not a problem with puking...dump it in and let it rip.
