Where does everyone buy there sugar from? Im doing a 190L TPW and don't really want to walk out of Coles with 43kg of sugar. Any tips would be greatly appreciated..

It is the cheapest and easiest way ...

Buy a few bags each time you go shopping, say 6-8 kg then in a few weeks you have loads :-)

Personally, i think you might be overdoing the sugar. Stick with the 1 in 5 ratio and you will only need 38 kilos for a 190 litre wash. Much easier :-D

i managed to catch the staff filling if the other night. so i bought a few trays. 6x2kg all nicely packaged. easy to carry

There is lots of excuses to buying so much sugar.

Did you know sugar slows down concrete going off?? So if a concrete truck was to break down, and me being a mechanic needed about an hour to fix it, about 40kg of sugar would slow the load down enough to fix the problem and then send it back to the plant to dump that concrete......

Did you know mulberries are just starting, and the missus makes mulberry jam, about 8kg should be plenty for our 4 trees this week.....

Or you could just tell the checkout girl to mind her own business, but I like to get creative with the stories I tell :-D

checkout operators dont really care. When i worked as one i had a bloke come through and buy a couple KG of granny smith apples and a big tube of KYjelly. i served him with a straight face as well.

as long as your not buying rope, duct-tape, chloroform and a shovel, i dont think ppl care what you buy

Costco sell a 20kg bag ... If there is one close

:text-+1: Big wholesalers have bigger bags but beware sometimes they are dearer than your run of the mill woolies or coles.

Woolies used to have the 20 or 25 kg bags but I haven't seen them for a long time :think:

If you have a local bulk food supply place (usually supplying bakeries, restaurants etc), you can get 20-25kg bags cheaper per kg than supermarkets and they don't ask questions

I tried a local wholesale food supplier. They only had caster sugar, $35 for a 25kg bag. White sugar is $1 per kg from the local shopping center.
