really cheap wheat and dark malt extract $1.74 a kg

I've been lurking here for ages just soaking up the info. This isn't my listing but i thought others would take advantage of it. $3 for 1.7kg wheat malt extract http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-7KG-OF-UNH ... 5c8&_uhb=1

He has dark malt extract as well for the same price. I bought 17kg of wheat malt and 17kg of dark malt :) Shipping is flat rate of $9 per type of malt. So all up i paid $78 for 34kg malt extract, thats really fucking cheap!! I think its expired but this wont affect what ill be using it for (plus i dont use extracts to make beer anyway)

This is what ill be doing with it.
Bourbon wash 150L OG 1070

15kg cracked corn
3kg ale malt (to convert corn)
17kg wheat malt extract
1 packet of low carb beer enzyme (to help ferment out the extract)

Scotch wash 170L OG 1068
25kg heavy peated distilling malt (although last time i was in craftbrewer they said they only had the medium stuff)
17kg dark malt extract
1 packet of low carb beer enzyme

Scotch wash is 170L wash because i want to do 3x stripping and then one slow run with 20L wash + strippings to try get more flavour in. Wont be able to do this one till i can find some more heavy peated malt though.

Hope this helps someone

I'm running a 3inch offset head potstill on a 80L carlton keg boiler with 2x 2400W elements in it. Takes 8.5hours to strip 180L wash (3x60L) inlcuding emptying and refilling the boiler :)

Can't wait to try this extract. To get such a big wash i usually do a mash and then up the gravity with sugar but now ill be able to do all grain (well all malt at least)
