Has anyone had any experience with these copper pot scrubbers on page 12 in the scourers and sponges section http://www.edco.net.au/scourers My local shop in Nowra can get me some in so I might give them a go in my packed section. I bought a packet of the stainless steel ones, but just might go copper. It states on the page they are pure copper and I have sent an email asking them to confirm.

If you buy some leave them in water overnight to make sure they don't rust :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I got my chore boy scrubbers in a large box on eBay.
Following that I bought a heap of copper from Amphora, I haven't had to touch the Amphora stuff yet as I'm barely through the large box of chore boy scrubbers.

Hi Peter,

The reply I got from EDCO (within a day which is pretty good)

"Thanks for your inquiry. Our copper scourers are 100% copper, with no coating. Some suppliers use a steel or stainless steel and coat with copper to avoid the high cost of the copper. Our cataloge actually references that there isn’t a foam filler which again, some suppliers use to bulk the product and reduce the copper content and therefore the price.

Instead, we have a banding which is only there to keep the product in its intended shape.

Trust this assists".

PS I dont know what my local person will sell them for (Jennings McDonald South Nowra) but I can see then online for $3.50 each not sure if cheeper if you buy 6 or more if you buy bulk. But the structured copper at 5SD is not very expensive either @ $27 for a 500 g wad.
Best regards,

Hmm I think I can kill this post. $3.60 + for 60 g compared to $27.50 for 500 g of structured copper mesh. :( sorry for a time waste)

that works out to $30 ...only $2.50 difference and if there is freight in the equation ,you still might be on to a cost comparable product

No one has tested to see if they are really 100% copper yet ;-)

I'm +1 for the amoropha structured copper. It's very easy to wind to pack your column and very good quality. Been using it for years

Absolutely nothing they look identical.

I hadn't perused your website until tonight, I just saw the earlier post referring to Amorpha
