You are one of the luckiest blokes in this forum I reckon. Free kegs from a scrappy that took your fridge away, found free wheels for your boiler just lying around, got your boiler welded up for free, and now free drums. ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^

Saw 2 stall holders selling the exact same olive barrels at the Thomastown Market (northern suburbs of Melbourne) weekend before last. Was quoted 25 bucks for the 220L version, quickly dropped to 20 when I didn't seem keen. Ended up buying an 80L barrel for 15 bucks which I thought was a good deal (the stallholder stated that the 80L jobs move well but no one seemed to be keen on the 220L versions- too heavy when full maybe?) Anyway gave it a bit of a clean but the olive smell was still pretty strong. Was thinking it might be a good base spirit for vodka martinis but to be honest I've never been a big fan of Bond movies. Left it out in the sun lid off for a few days and now not a hint of olive. Anyway, going back for another one this weekend.

If you gave it a good clean, thats all thats needed mate, it'll go away.

Even if it doesn't your wash won't smell/taste like whatever was in the drum :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Too many purists out there wasting time and energy for little to no reason IMO :teasing-blah:
