Barrel offcuts $20 for 6kg

Postby ekul » Fri Mar 28, 2014 10:39 am

Went up to roll out the barrel cooperage today to get some american oak, they sell it by the box and the lady said each box has 6kg in it. She also said she could freight it to me in future 2 boxes for $11. $51 for 12kg virgin american oak delivered to my door, sounds like a bargain to me :)

That virgin oak is the shit :handgestures-thumbupleft: was there on monday and bought a box. How funny was the old lady kicking around in the wheel chair :D so proud of their craft she has owned the business for 35 years :handgestures-thumbupleft: I toasted some in the pizza oven and wow the beautiful aromas :D put some cfw on a nice dark toast  I know it's going to be good
