Grain/Molasses in Katherine

Postby Sinerjee » Thu Aug 14, 2014 7:23 pm

I'm thinking it's a long shot but.... Does anyone know of somewhere where I will be able to get molasses and the various grains required for BWKO in Katherine, NT.
I'm moving there at the end of the year and am hoping there is somewhere I can go rather than having to special order it in.

A mates managed to put me onto a couple of places. One up near Darwin has crushed corn at $30 for 30 kilos. There's also a place fairly close to Katherine called NT Molasses Supplies but they don't have a website or stock listing. I'm going to assume they sell molasses though haha.

Im pretty sure they built a Sugar Mill in Kununurra a while back, at a rough guess id say some of the excess Molasses from there should end up in your area so you maybe able to get it at a reasonable price.

Yeah there's a refinery up in the NW of WA I'm sure, I dont think you'll have too much trouble finding supplies.

Pretty sure I've sent some gear up there last year to a rum and UJ drinker :handgestures-thumbupleft:
