Just thought i would post this for anyone in brissy looking for 1/2" copper hard drawn. Rang around calling Tradelink stores and the best they could do was $9.36 per meter or $37.90 for 6m which was dearer on the phone than when i got the price of $36.58 in the shop. Turns out if i buy 1 lengths of 1.5m of 1/2" at bunnings it works out to be $8 per meter. Only need 2 of them and its cheaper. Wouldn't think Bunnings would have been cheaper 8-}
I try and get Kembla (aussie I think)some cheeper foreign stuff I got had thinner wall and split with flareing tools unless anealed and worked slowly.cheers hillzabilly
equipment: 10 gallon OZARK pot still ,2inch and 3inch Nixon Stone coloum stills ,10 and 18 gal beer keg boilers,5gal thumper keg.And the one and only 4" Five Star Southern Cross .
Just picked up 2 of these. Turns out they were kembla. Is flaring making the copper wider to join onto the same size? something im interested in :think:
Flareing is not technicaly correct,tube expanding is as the tool is called a tube expander and yes allows you to join same size tube .cheers hillzabilly
