Grain Produce in Brisbane

Postby WTDist » Sun Sep 13, 2015 6:47 pm

Im going to be buying grains soon to do grain washes. Prob start with the BWKO and evolve from there. I like Jack Daniels so maybe ill try a grain bill like that. They will be sugar heads though not all grain.

I live in Brisbane and im doing a google search for grain produce and stock feeds and the best one i found for grains was Allora Grain & Milling in Springwood.

They sell by the 20kg bag so they say. I was hoping to get rye also but it doesnt list that as a stock they sell.

Im wondering if there are other grain retailers in the brisbane area that other members are using? i would like to research out the best place to go that wont cost an arm and a leg and isnt too far to drive.

Cheers

G'day mate, eBay is not too bad - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/25kg-Bag-of- ... 3f5041d127

Joe White Pilsener is a great Aussie Malted Barley (do you have a grain mill?) but we don't have a lot of options for rye. Weyermann Rye Malt is pretty good as well and you can get it from the same ebay store (above). :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Just did a google. they are twice as dear by the looks but have a good range and by the kilo. Ill keep looking and see what i come up with :handgestures-thumbupleft: If i use craft brewer it will be about 20$ for grains for just BWKO. seems a little steep. Might pay to bulk buy  Ill research a bit more into it :handgestures-thumbupleft:
