Using hops to make a wash

Had good success in growing hops here is West Quebec. Have two large ziplock bags of fresh hops in the freezer.

Would like to use the hops in a wash to hypothetically distill into “something” most likely using the alembic dome on a Turbo 500. I haven’t come across a wash that incorporates hops in a way that the flavour will carry thu.

Any suggestions…

Good are best left to beer.
The oils in the hops make an absolute mess of stills

Using them in a hop basket is your best bet. The bitterness from boiling them too long would not be pleasant
You could also make a hop tincture with some of your neutral alcohol, and then dose your soda water with a few drops rather than making kegs of hop water.

What about a "Hopped Gin"? I've heard that either before or after distillation they add a unique flavour to your gin profile.

If you try it, let us know, I'd love to hear how it goes.
