Yeah I agree, my 2 brother in laws swap in summer from heavy stouts and ales (sippers) to lagers and pilsners in summer for quaffing. It's hard work chewing through a heavy Belgian in summer.

How the hell do you find the time? Maybe when I finish the next degree I'll have more time but my free time vanishes like a rat up a drain pipe. Perhaps you can run a class in time management as well? :-)

I only do kit beers with little additions :crying-blue:

Takes an hour to put 2 brews down, then another hour to keg and clean up :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Distiling takes more of my time but beer is more of my drinking ;-)

Yeah I'm a bottler - sterilizing and capping takes triple the time brewing does.

takes me 4 hrs from set up to clean up but alot of that time you dont have to be there as its mashing or boiling so can go do other crap. I have done 63lts 42lts of PA and 21lts of pils in 4.5hrs, Using 2 MT and the HLT as a second boiler. That was a work out as the pils had 2 decoction steps while I was trying to heat strike water for steps on the PA and had to do it on the stove inside so was running in and out the house to check temps and not burn the decoction :laughing-rolling: Wouldnt do it again any time soon.
