Belle Saison - Belgian/French Farmhouse style drop

Postby bt1 » Mon Jan 06, 2014 8:24 am

Howdy,

One I've had the pleasure of draining a few kegs of over the Xmas break. K&K type but great drinking as tester before going AG.

Belle Saison - Belgian/French Farmhouse style drop
1 x Coopers Pale ale
1 x Coopers Wheat malt - (can use Wheat beer kit, careful, might over power it for summer but)
1 x Lallemand Belle Saison yeast Or Wyeast 3724 Belgian Saison, or Wyeast 3711 French Saison ...brew back to back washes to reduce yeast cost per brew

Nothing else needed
SG 1042
FG ~1004 - 6
Yeasts needs some special attention depending on which used. All have fairly high temp starts, temp drop over 1 -2 days then heating required to step up brew temp in 2c steps. Suits summer.

Having dipped into the taste, be doing this as a AG BIAB as I really like it.
