Starsan availablity

Postby bt1 » Sun Sep 07, 2014 7:42 am

Howdy,

Both local (SA) HBS's have no Starisan and it's impacting on my keg production....bastards. A bloke needs beer and lots of it with footy finals and Bathurst pending.

Wondering if it's a National issue?

If you can get a hold of some of the Keg King version it works quite well, but it does foam a LOT more and needs a little bit of a rinse to get rid of the mass of bubbles (I know some bubbles won't hurt, but this stuff goes crazy)

As a backup, you can buy hydrogen peroxide in Woolies. Dilute a few capfuls in a 500ml spray bottle and wahlah! You have a no-rinse sanitiser. Can't let keg production be affected!!

Iodophor is a no rinse sanitizer.... A very good alternative as well.
