All four plates are now risered up :happy-partydance: Didn't have time to tack all of the bubblecaps on though

I need to buy a handful of 1" elbows for my downcomers, and make another 3 weirs, and the plates will be done!

I've also made a little mistake with my plate tree bolt holes, but it won't be a major...

Bushy is scared of the babyshit green jacket ;-)

I never said it was going to be a quick build! I do almost have enough spare beer tickets to get my FSD hoodies though :)

It'll be 12 months in February... I reckon I'll have it done by then.

I still don't have my shed finished, which means I still don't have anywhere to set the thing up/15 amp plugs to get it cranking.

It'll happen!

I had a bit of a play with the oxy this arvo...

Because my pipe is so thin-walled, it's not completely round. Because I'm going non-modular, with weired plates, I'm never going to get them to seal against the column.

My remedy for this is to solder the plates into the column. No biggy, just another setback and one that's going to take a fair bit of working out. Theres also the matter of the 3 extra holes in each plate where the threaded rods were going to go.

More tomorrow, with pics!

We're getting there!

This thread is a testamount to the fact that you really need to plan an entire build from day 1... And also never try to use soft solder :laughing-rolling:
