Ease of manufacture for a 2nd year apprentice without a 4axis CNC is more where i was going.

As long as you have enough open area and a way to hold the cap down it will work, drilling or milling to get the open area is irrelevant.

And yes reversal area is the space between the bottom edge of your open area to the underside of the cap, again its about unrestricted vapour flow not minimising turbulance.

Haha dunno when I'll get time to machine the others as I was only doing it when the boss had his meetings and don't have the right tooling on the mill what I did was centre drilled it then stepped it up bit by bit to a 35mm bit then put a slot drill on the lathe to get a flat bottom then used a boring bar to get the rest out so it was flat all the while stressing the boss would walk in lol

Was thinking of getting a 35mm plunge bit for the mill at work but unsure if it will leave a flat bottom hole? As I have only touched the mill once which was yesterday cuz I complained I need more training on it cuz how else am I to build my still parts lol

Does it look similar to the dozens of other tried and proven builds here on the forum?

was my first ever attempt at soldering I started trying to solder the outside with no luck it was just dropping through and splashing on my feet cuz I had my north queensland safety boots on but then I tried the inside and was so much easier sealing everything up and soaked it in soap and blew air through it to check if it was completely sealed and it was so happy days

yeah I'm not I confused myself again
im looking at the 5star downcomers I'm unsure how that clamps to the plate is the round part on top like a socket and tightens on a thread to clamp it?
