Hey all,

I was talking to stig a few weeks ago and I have been busy, but i told him I would put some pics up so here we go.

I started working on a 2" pot still and finished it and realised it was too small. So I decided to build a 4" bubbler.

It's almost done, just waiting for a few more parts to come. I have ordered caddy lock nuts so it easy to assemble and disassemble. Hopefully they will be here in next few weeks. Once they come I will put all the m8 rods in (just there to see how it looks together)

I'm going to build a power controller later. I have most of the parts. I will post some pics later

100L milk can boiler
3600w + 2400w elements
4 X bubble plates
4" RC & 2" PC with flow meters

I have ordered a parrot from 5SD and I'm using a electric parrot also. That's the 2" tee between the 180 and the PC.

I'm running a recirculating water system.
2 X 1000 L IBC with a 750w submersible pump. ( will add photos tomorrow )

Nice rig. Where did you get your water gauges ? And a pic of the electric parrot would be cool when it arrives. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The parrot goes into the Tee and into the vapour path, I tested it when I first got it and it gives a accurate reading. I have mine just before the PC. It's the same as a standard parrot just an electronic version. Also gives me the vapour temp.

Next run I do I will get some pics of it in action.

I'm into the tech stuff. So it's cool I like it :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I got 2 tilt hydrometer for my 200 L fermenters as well. They are alright, it was a pain setting it up, but going alright now and it logs all the data into a google sheet.

I've broken two alcometers so far, so maybe the electric parrot would be a good investment. I wonder how it works & whether it could be built?

Yeah Minpac I had broken a few also.

I reckon it's good investment and makes life easier. I'm going mount mine into my control pannel one I finish.

Not sure about making one, I guess if your good with elentronics.

I ended up giving up on the glasser after cracking a few sight glasses over tightening them and taking so long to take it apart and assemble it :angry-banghead: .. So i ended up buying some 4" tees from 5Star and used the parts i had. I

Im waiting for Allan to finish off the cater head and hopefully i will have a carter head to play with next week :happy-partydance:

Mate you've just gotta have a crack. You should see my reject pile, you could probably make a bubbler out of it :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

The modular is the go though, nice and easy to clean and change about. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with it.

What you doing with the plates from the glass column?

Haha Yeah i know what you mean.

Yeh im happy with the modular, cleaning is a breeze.

I ended up using the plates from the glasser in the SS tees. I usually run 5-6 plates + the 500mm packed section when doing neutral. Just didnt have any pics of it as i dont usually do neutral.

Electric parrot would just be a thermometer that calculates abv from temperature of the vapor. If it was really fancy it would also correlate against atmospheric pressure.
