Shotgun size? 4" vs 2"

Hey guys,

Ive manage to acquire a decent length 2.5m of 4" pipe for nix to start my column build. I'm a little undecided on what size pipe to make my shotgun PC from. I have a fair amount of 2" lying around and will surely have some 4" left over to make it.

I have 2 x 2400w elements inside the boiler on a SSR contoller.

Thoughts on which way to go? ... Longer 2" or shorter 4" ?? i really wanted a 3" but im having a hard time sourcing that from the scrappy.

500mm 2" with 6x 12" inners will knock everything down.

Or 5 x 1/2", might be easier for you to solder in too.

Good choice, all the extra mass from a 4" PC would probably require the rest of the build to be stronger. For example you might not get away with soft soldered easy flanges on your column. 2" has been tried and tested for PCs on 4" bubblers using all soft solder, so you're on a winner. Plus just think of all the other builds you can do with the left over 4" :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: 4" would be way too heavy, thats alot of water hanging out there.

2" will knock down 10 Lph easy I'd recon :handgestures-thumbupleft:
