Downcommers cause smearing? Havnt read about that...i am planning to run at high abv lots reflux...

I would have thought plate bath would have been main source of smearing

Yeah but I’ve never seen downcommers that long... just thinking that it’ll take longer for them to empty their volume which may affect your run.

Yep I see your point and I have no idea about this stuff all new to me, we will see :D
I just figured the reflux is all the low proof stuff anyway as long as downcommer doesnt flood it wouldnt matter as long as vapour doesnt go up the risers.. :shifty:

Looks good mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:
I'm with doubleUJ on the downcomers. They'll definitely get a vapour lock though.

Well well some awesome work! Progress is underway.

Looks awesome, as mentioned you may encounter entrainment with your J trap design and be limited on the speed as a result. Try it before making any changes.

Pm sent about delivery of the 4in!

Looking good bluc.
Getting there and I reckon those j traps are mint. Seen them used before and didn't hear of any issues.

Gave it a quick shine today. Copper is fairly dinged so not gunna spend a lot of time with it.
