My pc is now leaking like a sprinkler. Was heating up second run when I noticed drips when there should have been no drips. Tried to fix it and made it 100 times worse. I
have wasted heaps of soft solder trying to fix it. Think I will strip the pc and braze it...

Have been using it for months without issue on my pot :angry-banghead:

Ifn ya do de-solder things wipe of the exess solder from parts with a damp cotton cloth whilst the solder is still liquid(welding gloves work well here so ya do not burn fingers),will make it easier when ya re-assemble makeing sure every join is clean and emery papered,I like ta wipe down parts with left over spirit at 90-95%abv just ta make sure there is no dirt or grime and find the cleaner things are the easier the job goes.cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Wow, I didn’t realise that it needs to be so ‘sterile’!

Doesn’t need to be sterile, alcohol is a solvent so will clean the same as thinners...

I think ya may struggle ta braze with map torch,I could do small jobs but 2inch an over seemed ta be oxy act territory for me,plus I am not sure how brazeing over soft solder joins will go ,only one way ta find out I guess.I will have a skull and wish you luck. :obscene-drinkingchug: cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:
