The New Addition - The Neutralizer

Postby Clubby » Sat Jun 16, 2018 5:44 pm

Received a nice gift the other day. The quality looks fantastic. Thanks 5 Star.

The Still.JPG

Going to have to set it up in the shed, it will be the only place i am allowed to cut the roof to make the rest fir. But the electrics will not handle it, so going to get an electrician in soon to put a new 10amp and 15amp circuit in. That should fix that problem.

Just have to work out how to do the cooling. Cant use the rain water tank, too far. Don't want the look of an IBC, so got a new radiator from a VZ, so attempt to set something up.

Back to reading how to use a plate still.

I notice yours only has 4 tees too. Its clearly pictured on the website with 5. Ours arrived with 4 and we were told the factory in China fucked up and that's the reason we didn't get the 5th and that it was coming. That was nearly 6 months ago and sue still refuses to respond to emails. Have you been promised a 5th tee? 5 star are doing absolutely nothing for customer service at the moment.

Definitely give them a call orcy, that sounds like something that would be sorted out very quickly over the phone. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Also, have you checked your junk mail folder? Sometimes email gets flagged as junk even when it's clearly not.

Trying to find something to put the boiler on. What does everyone else use? Off the self options at this stage.

Good news now have 2 20amp circuits installed. :-D

Yep, couple of years. Had no problems with it. It adds about 100mm to the height of the still so if you've got height restrictions that is something to consider.
