Pot still mode or 4 plates for ujssm

Hi all.
I'm curious to hear thoughts on either running my still in potstill mode over various generations for a UJSSM. Or would it be better to run it over the 4 plates.

I prefer bubbler with plates for everything I have made so far...

More refined less murkey especially on rum..better seperation of cuts I think is the biggest influencer of flavour :handgestures-thumbupleft: difference between a pot and bubbler, I reakon cleaner rather than less flavour from a bubbler..

Because its now warmer in south east qld I'll try both. Should keep me busy for a bit :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I would suggest trying both, I've found with all grain whisky that I simply can't get enough peat through my plates no matter which way I run it.
I've also found that the influence of adjuncts is more pronounced with running as a pot still.
Rum is as bluc described alot smoother cleaner and even sweeter and requires way less aging with plates.
My current build is a pot still but I have enough copper to build plates and an rc for it best of both worlds that way.

i think ill go pot still 1st. Strip a few gens and then when it gets to about gen 6( apprently between gen 5 & 7 is the best)Then a nice slow spirit run should do the trick

Good point coffee i had forgotton you saying that. I have not done peated through bubbler yet so cant comment on that :handgestures-thumbupleft:
