Increasing ABV - calculator

Postby Fishws » Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:29 pm

Hi All,

A very happy New Year to you all. Not sure if this is the right place, mods, please move if you see fit.

The calculator tools for wash etc are very, very helpful, particularly the dilution calculator. However, what calculation do you use to increase the abv? Say you have a volume of liquid/spirit at 20% and wanted to take it to 35% - how would you work out how much spirit to add? Variables would be volume, initial abv, required abv, abv of the spirit to be introduced.
Thanks in advance,

Fish

I have an Android app called “Moonshine” which has a “Mixing alcohol solutions” calculator.
It comes from some Russian developer and is free.
It also has lots of other useful calculators.

Cheers.
