Left to right.
Bottom row. Needle valve for RC, purple valve for PC, Red gate valve for RC full reflux, green gate valve to open waste from RC during take off, green valve for recirculated waste from RC during full reflux.
The non connected fitting is from the RC and the hose on the far right is the waste pipe from the PC.
On the top row the second pipe from the left is the input hose to the RC, this setup allows for input from either the needle valve or the gate valve depending on what mode I’m in.

I hope it works, I’m waiting for a couple of washes to go off to check it.

Maate, I’ve got a farm.
We have over a hundred gates and dozens of water troughs.
I buy gate valves and plastic fittings in bulk.
I need the emoji that is throwing away $$$ here. :o
I try to avoid the big green shed but sometimes it is all that is available. :crying-blue:

G'day team, yesterday I pulled 2 big runs out and they went really well!! :music-deathmetal:

The first one started at 91 and held. And the 2nd run I threw in 2 lots of heads and tails. This one was obviously much bigger and held at 93 until jar 11! :-D

I found the run just continually slows from about mid way through. The last 25 percent takes forever.

My IBC finished running at 33 degrees at the end of the 2nd run and the temperature started at 18 degrees. So I'll look at cooling this with maybe a wort chiller into an esky cooling it before it returns to the container.

Regarding heads and tails I've read several posts many times so I understand the concept but picking them is another task. I can smell the strong heads and tails but I guess you need to find the balance.

I think the hearts are between 4 - 10 to be safe, 3 and 11 are pretty similar.

I'd day this one smells is 4 - 7

I know you can't smell my pictures :text-lol: , but given the yield, oes this sound like I am in the ball park? Not sure if it's generous or being tight.

Cheers again :text-thankyoublue:

Don't just rely on smell, take a small sample from each and dilute back to 30 - 40% and have a taste :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Smell is important but alcohol at high concentration it’ll blow your sense of smell and it’ll all start to smell the same...

I like to dilute my tails down to 20% roughly or less, I find the manky taste comes out strongest at lower abvs

Yeah wow, as low as 20% that should make it easier.

Tomorrow night before origin I'll do exactly that! I'll see if my brother and me can be on the same page.

Thanks again.
