Looking for a plated still for rums!

Hey guys im looking for a plated still for making some rum and maybe other things down the track!

I see there is one from five star distilling and one from www.5stardistilling.com.au, does anyone have any experience with these and making a rum?

I have a similar still to the ones mentioned that I made myself.

I have done a Molasses and brown sugar rum and ran it through all 5 plates and lots of flavour came through.

I may consider selling this still if you are interested.

Is there any reason you cant mention the other still manufacturer?

i may be interested just need to know a little more before I pull the trigger on any setup

It is just a guess mate, but I suspect it has something todo with all the effort, time, and money five star distilling have put into getting this forum to where it is. It’s a bit like being invited into a coke hospitality tent and wearing a Pepsi t shirt. It’s ok to drink Pepsi but it would not be polite to advertise it in a coke tent, particularly if you are there as a guest.

I am sure someone will put me right if I guessed wrong.

Doesn't look like you are going to get any advice from the forum other than to buy a still from the owner. :sad:

Have a look at the for sale section as there is a plated column for sale in there. The owner may be happy the answer the questions you asked in this post too.
