My perforated column build....

Postby TJM » Fri May 25, 2012 11:56 pm

Hey fellas been a while since i posted so i thought id show you all my new build.

Im still half way there with it but should be great when im done. The still is a 5 perforated plate 4 inch column with shotgun reflux and product condenser. Reflux
condenser is 14 1/2" tubes 100mm long and the product shotgun is 7 1/2" tubes 350mm long in a 3" jacket. Plate holes are 1.5mm and about 260 on each plate.
The sight glasses are going to be 2" triclamps. Each plate is going to be valved so i can change the still mid run to be a 1 - 5 plate still

Any input or comment much appreciated. cheers..

Just a heads up since you have been around much. I don't know if you are aware of problems when posting photos on the internet, but just in case you don't know, have a look through this thread. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1386

Keep the photos coming, just be careful about it. ;-)

That is a lot of work.
I envy your skill and research.

I've started collecting odds and ends to build one of these in the hope my capabilities and understanding catch up in the future.

We kind of take it for granted when the copper porn kings throw these columns together, but when a regular member does it, it kinda knocks you off your feet.
