If you accidentally had 230v in the pot connections of the relay , yeah I'd say the relay is fucked .That section of the relay works at around a few volts .230v will fuck it !

Thanks Mac, I printed this one previously but a few things we're missing so it must have been updated. The cleaning run went great, I think I'm going to get a fill port put on to make things easier.

I got a new relay put in and it's is working however not correctly. I hooked up a kettle an it seamed I could adjust the voltage but the volt meter actually goes up from 2200w to 2500w and the 2500w is when there is not current running at all.

Any suggestions guy, my sparky is bringing his meter over tomorrow but if anyone's seen this before let me know.

Do you mean 220v - 250v instead of 2200w - 2500w? Or are you working out your wattage - power = volts x amps??

I'm sure your sparky will sort you out...

I'm not so sure about that, apparently he wired 240v straight through the relay.... even with the diagram :scared-eek:

It seams to be able to, but I'm not using the controller on this run, going to run 2400w once it gets to temp, currently 80 deg

The 2400w wasn't enough power for 5 plates so have had to hook up the controller, seams as if everything works but the voltage meter. Plates are just loading now.

Hill what do you mean "the 2400w is not enough power for 5 plates"?

I have two 2400w elements and my plan is both on for the heat up and then one off for the run.

Yes that's what I'm working off, be good to know what Hilly's experience is in more detail. The post was pretty brief.

Exactly the same as mine! 2400 watts just isn't quite enough. And my voltage meter doesn't work, it used to but not anymore for some strange reason.

Curious to know why 2400w is not enough, has been for "every" bubbler I've built :wtf:
