Sweet, it'll be much prettier with some more clamps

Cheers googe, it was a last minute thought, I put a plate in the middle as a baffle so that I could have the inlet and outlets on the same side. I was going to put 3 plates in to make a bit of a maze and increase heat transfer, but I got sick of cutting copper. The outlets are at roughly 80mm and 120mm on 3" tubing, not sure that the 80mm will knock enough down, but I thought it was worth a shot.
Yours is looking pretty, bit more carefully done than my poor hammer victim.

You might want to punch a few holes in the conector between the end of the product condenser and the reducer so the parrot dosn't surge.
Looking good!

err,

not altogether sure of the purpose or benefit of the split reflux condenser...it seems like more work for undetermined reasons.

The best I've seen of newer reflux condensers is Tickle's twin take off which I pinched and have used. it fast and responsive.

I do like the rest and plates to flange edge for modulars..it's neat.

The mid condenser plate is possibly is a waste of time, but my thinking was:
If you have the water input and outlet on the same side, there may be a preferential flow on that side, so the plate (with the hole on the opposite side to the inlet/outlet) forces the water to cross the tube before exiting the condenser.

Btw I have nicked tickle's idea of having 2 outlets. Both of these are above the middle plate.

We'll see whether the thing works in a month or two.

There may not either.

There wont be with your baffle. Good to see some thinking going into this. Good stuff

Yes, the only problem is I don't have anything to benchmark against. If I get bored after it's finished I might make an identical one without the baffle and see what it's like.
