Well Since running the bubbler ive ran a few recipe's

2 variations of Oat whiskey - very yum and hard to age since it doesnt last
5 gens of UJSM
5 gens of Mtn Moonshine sour mash
5 gens of McRum
2 All Bran - for a dry neutral

Ive been extremely happy with it ,, but now i just seemed to obsessed about recipe's.... I want to do a :-

Peated scotch style
Makers mark clone
Brandy

Im real interested in the Brandy since i just realised we have a farmers market here every fortnight.... so i need to see if some one can point me in a direction for a brandy recipe. becuase i will be keen on talking to the farmers and taking their 2nds off their hands for a cheap price :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Weet-Bix ;-) (which are 97% whole grain wheat)...

It's a cooked recipe using the appropriate temps to convert some sugars (not sure about the Weet-Bix though).

I'll see how it turns out, and will put the recipe up if it works out alright.

Care to expand on the mtn moonshine a bit?

I can't get the second gen to fire,
how much, if any backset are you using and how warm is it?

@EG im only doing 30L batches , but i only use 3L backset .. used bicarb soda on 3rd,4th and 5th gen to get it going. I add cool water to the fermenter then i let it sit over night so it coole completely

@waza - havent tasted it yet since im just started aging it, its no where near as sweet so it should be a better clone ;) though my UJSM just hit 2.5months and its changed heaps since the start.

might even look at blending the two later ? so more of a sweeter corn profile after aging ,,,, i dunno ,, I have a few litres to play with. but I think im starting to realise that 5L of each aging wont really last longer than 3 months so i might have to run another batch
