Daves 5 plate McMagic

Postby DaveZ » Wed Jun 05, 2013 8:46 pm

The excitement is starting to build now. Had a couple boxes of shiny dropped off to me yesterday :happy-partydance:

Image

I've got a 50L McRum wash sitting patiently ready to break this girl in. I'm going to put down a 60L TPW tomorrow, 20L of which will be used for the sacrificial run, the other 40 to try out the packed section and make some neutral :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Still a few things to get organised for it, but on the home stretch now, thanks heaps Mac and Don

Cheers,
Dave.

I cant help but smile every time I see another one of these out there, there's so much work involved in getting these to you guys and these threads make it all worth while.

Your extra items are in the post Dave, and after talking to Don today it looks like you dont have long to wait :D

Sounds good, but realistically it could be a couple weeks before I can give her a decent run anyway. You don't know off hand the volume of the packed section? I've ordered some scoria for that, I hope 6.5 litres is enough, I think it'll do.

I'll flick you through a PM tomorrow Dave :handgestures-thumbupleft: She looks good mate, although I wouldn't expect anything less from Mac's supplier, these rigs are beautifully finished and made from quality new materials, not recycled gear like some of the stuff coming in from overseas.
But by geez they're shiny :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Dont throw those 2" plastic caps away either, they fit a keg perfectly for keeping bugs out :D

Nice tip, thanks, got a few from my packed section and gin basket and I was wondering what I'd do with them...the bugs sure do love the keg!

Thanks guys, couldn't have even dreamt of having a quality bit of gear like this without this forum and the generosity of the community here, let alone the ability to run the thing properly. :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Indeed they have  I'm quite happy with what I've been getting out of the T500, as are the people I share it with, but this rig will give me versatility, hopefully even better quality and will last me a damn long time.

I never like to comment on these threads cause mama always taught me, 'if you ain't got something nice to say, don't say anything at all'. And I get awful jealous looking at people's shiny new toys.

Nice rig you got there mate. Bet you can't wait to fire it up.

Well done on a great purchase Dave :handgestures-thumbupleft:

You'll be able to smell the heads now, they'll be strong and compressed!

You won't look back after getting that rum through, and neutral will have a whole new meaning ;-)
