Bring back the big pics :pray:

But keep them coming mate. :music-deathmetal:

Yeah sometimes the site tells me they are too big so I resize and then they look too small. I'll try and sort out the next ones for you 1 2.

:)) No worries mate, all you have to do is reduce the size as in storage size not the actual pic size . But yeah it will reduce pic size as well.

If the pic is 1 mega pixel or under it will work. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Upload you pics to a hosting site like:
Imageshack
Tinypic
Photobucket
Imgur
Etc.

And then post the [img] link here.

So I bought a JOSCO polishing kit from bunnings. This is the exact kit and price. It was well worth the money.

Josco Bunnings.JPG

I used 3M post sanding Pads in the following grades befor using th JOSCO kit;

FINE
SUPERFINE
ULTRAFINE
MICROFINE

In the JOSCO Kit there are 75mm polishing pads and an arbor. I used a DOTCO Brand air grinder which spins pretty friggen high RPM. The kit has two different pads, a cutting pad with grey cutting polish and a polish finishing pad with white finishing polish

So my polishing method was as follows;

1. Citric acid soak the part to be polished and sand with FINE grade 3M pad in the water to remove any staining.

2. Rinse part with fresh water and dry by drip drying or using a heat gun.

3. Start sanding around the circumference (generally depended on the part but just sanded in a logically same direction) with the 3M pads going through all the grades;

FINE
SUPERFINE
ULTRAFINE
MICROFINE

4. Using a clean cheap microfibre polishing cloth, clean the part with acetone to get any excess sanded copper off it.

5. I then clamped the part in the vice to polish with the DOTCO with the cutting pad and grey cutting polish.

6. Finish up with the DOTCO with the polishing pad and the white polishing polish.

7. Wipe down part with a clean microfibre cloth and acetone to remove any excess polish.

8. Apply the reccomended amount of California Cuntoms "Purple" Metal Finishing Polish onto another new microfibre cloth and apply to part until a slight shine comes through.

9. Grab a new microfibre cloth to start buffing the polish off. This was easiest for me by leaving the part in the vice and grabbing the cloth at each end like a rope and pulling back and forth over the part.

10. Clear coat as soon as you can as the copper starts to oxidise as soon as you stop working it. The polish does protect for a little while but marks start to show up pretty quick.

I would like to thank this forum for all the help and encouragement along the way. There is no way I would have been able to finish this without such a welth of knowledge at my fingertips.

A very special mention to Linny for all his help in answering dumb questions from me for so long. Cheers mate!

Any chance you can put it on a boiler for the full show. :pray:
