Here's a few pics that are hopefully easy to understand, it's how I set up my cooling lines & all the bits needed are found in any decent hardware store.

All the parts are 1/2" BSP thread, and the adapter for the click on garden hose attachment is 1/2" x 3/4" BSP.

I use thread tape on all the joins except for the braided hose ends, these have a rubber washer in the ends and can be done up finger tight for easy removal/modifications/storage of the still etc etc.

Looks good and doesn't kink when hot like normal soft hoses, easy to use, comes in various lengths, readily available.

You know Mac...I'd certainly advocate for you to offer a set up like this for sale through the store. I know you have stated elsewhere that you leave hook ups to the owners discretion ...but I'd be willing to bet there would be a market for a quick set up out of the box like what you just shared.

Yes mate I totally agree with you, I'm currently working on a few things, turnkey packages are on my list :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The Y connectors for the braided hose? are they stainless? and if so where do you get them?

chrome plated brass from Bunnings mate, same area as all their copper fittings :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I reckon you'd be better off having the valve on the output of the rc, having it on the output will give it some back pressure, no risk of a draining affect with the lines hanging down. Total control. If the lines were up nice the rc it would be a different story.

Ive been running a gravity feed and a bilge pump from a lower tank back up to the top tank. i don't think the gravity feed is giving me enough flow through the RC to get total control. if i was to change to a pressure pump what sort of flow rate would I be looking for? any help appreciated. and sorry in advance for the noobe question.

I've done a few runs now and even though my product flows out at a toothpick flow i can't get full reflux so worried about not getting good separation of product and a smearing of heads and tails.
