Well my FSD Neutraliser is in the post and somewhere between perf and 'delaid so I've been to the big green shed today to sort my plumbing out!

Hopefully I've got the hose lengths right .... Kept the labels on just in case.
Once the still rocks up I'll get it all connected and then post a list of exactly what I bought!
Spent about $100.

What lenght are those braided hoses Benny I've just ordered a nutralizer as well. Can't wait to get it. Probably a fair while till I get it though. Thanks mate for any advice.
I might have to build a little shed for it though, my shed now only has a 2.2 mtr ceiling. Sheds I can build. Stills on the other hand. :violence-stickwhack:

So just to clarify for anyone following ...
The two 450mm hoses are both on the PC side
The 600mm and 300mm are on the RC side.
I got all of the connections, hoses and valve for $100 at Bunnings

Does anyone have issues with small leaks even with thread tape? Maybe I need to simplify my setup

Think I need to get some of those lines with 90degree fittings

Yup, I did, changed to the pink tape and used o rings on the Bunnings bits, no more leaks.

I use the pink teflon tape what o rings did you use might have to give them a go :D

I don't actually know! I've got one of those boxes with many different siZe o rings...I just found a size that fit firmly and shoved em in... ( not in the rc or pc, I only used Pi k tape there...

OK, newbie question. Mac's original pic showed multiple valves, but WalterWhite pic shows only one valve. I have a Neutraliser coming. How many valves do I actually need? Not sure if I will be running with recirculated water or not at this stage, but would like to have the option of either.

I was contemplating one valve also as you dont need to control the PC water speed but someone mentioned if they let it run full steam they also had trouble getting enough flow for full reflux. So i bought both

I have since bought a second valve. I do not get full reflux but this may be due to a number of reasons ....
Using the valve on the PC to restrict some of the flow back to the RC does help to slow it down to a drip for me so for the sake of about $12 I would get the second valve

I had similar issue even with high water flow(@ 2400w) so upgrade to a 9 core RC.
Reducing power to around 2000w with give full reflux

I've just put in my order for a blockhead neutraliser, and I am looking to start gathering the components so I am ready to go when it arrives. Based on some of the pictures I have seen here it looks like switching to the blockhead the PC connections drop by about 150mm (is that about right?), which would make the standard hose lengths incorrect.

Can anyone advise on the correct hose lengths for the blockhead neutraliser? At a guess I am anticipating the following:

RC Side
1x 600mm (top)
1x 300mm (bottom)

PC Side
2x 300mm (top and bottom)

Does this sound right?

Also, is there a specific list of components required to complete the rest of the cooling system somewhere? I have a pretty good idea based on the pictures, but I figure it's better to ask than to guess :-B

Pretty sure i went 2 300 and a 450 and a 600 i hung them so they combined at the same spot for the Y think its a 600 / 300 outlets and 450 / 300 inlets this makes them fall together for the joiner and about 10 cm apart from each other
EDIT oops i lied 2 450 1 600 1 300 600 / 450 on outlets the top and 450 / 300 on inlets bottom

I have just got a Mac 4" ssg bubbler. :music-deathmetal:
Doing a cleaning run at the moment and unable to get full reflux on 2400w.
Is there anything I could do other than power reducer as I don't have one yet.
I have a botanicals pot inbetween last plate and rc was thinking of filling it with scrubbers..

Where are you getting the water from mains or a recirc tank?

You said you're doing a cleaning run, are you running a sacrificial wash or vinegar? If you're running vinegar I'm not sure you'll get it to fully reflux.
