The Beast Finds A New Home!

Postby Cane Toad » Fri Aug 05, 2011 2:28 pm

Hi All,
As you will all find out eventually,McStill has decided to part with his 4" bubbler.Well.....I'm now the proud new owner, and what a work of art it is! Being a virgin to the ancient art I decided that I may as well go straight to the top shelf.
Well, today it arrived! What a thing of beauty :D .All I have to do now is work out how to use it!It's ok,Al is only a phone call away and I have all you fella's out there to give me guidance.
I have already been down to the local feed store and purchased all the ingredients to start up my 1st gen for my bourbon, and I think I have just enough molasses to do a wash or 2 for the rum.The fermenters are in the shed nice and clean (200l may be a bit much when starting out,but I don't have to fill them up....yet  ) A couple of jobs to do this arvo, then a bit more reading up on recipes while savoring a few then let the fun begin tomorrow morning.
I will keep you all posted.
Cheers

Im sure your going to have a lot of fun with that thing. If the rum you make with that thing is half as good as Mcstills tastes your going to be a happy man.
