So I finally measured a collection rate with 4 plates with a thumper.
Note due to the sugar head ag wash being very temperamental because of it foaming and bubling I have had to back it off a little.

How 100mls a minute sound

That's a thumping thumper, tried for dancing bananas but they didn't work, so you'll have to be happy with : :happy-partydance:

rummy, was the problem with the cooling from the 1mm or so wall on the inner tubes and the larger end plate was too thick?

if so maybe brazing 20+ on thinner end plate might be ok?

It was an absolute disaster trying to use the thick plate.
I cut them off and made normal end caps, they were the ones that developed leaks.

Update on the illuminated chicken leg boiler...
The led setup has slowly died over the last few runs. I'm fairly confident in saying the heat destroyed them prematurely.
I have made up a mark two the other day and trying it out now. A fair bit different the height, vent holes easily dismantled so that I can replace the leds if they fail.

I expect this version to last a bit longer than the previous setup.

Cheers
