Hiya folks
I've been tinkering with the window mounts today( spent most of the day , guts up on the lounge in the air/cond :handgestures-thumbupleft: ), gotta line up and cut holes in the 4" tomorrow ( this is the bit I have been dreading, :? cutting holes in a piece of expensive pipe :? :? )
Thought I better give ya's a look :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Not sure how ya going to attach those thing Draino.......but i found it easiest to cut an undersized hole then solder the window mounts in, then get stuck into it with ya Dremal / Die grinder and clean the holes out to suit.
Gimme a pm if ya need a lend of the right size hole saw.....I have one and its only cut 4 holes so is still good n sharp.
By the way WTF did ya find those.......steal them of a minature submarine ???????????????

I got the window mounts made and the windows mounted over the weekend. 8-)
Had to tinker a bit to make the plate tree fit properly again :x ,
It was a bit like yours SBB, Ya arm up the column, die grinder with a flapper drum adjusting the internal diameter around the window areas so the plate tree would fit again :? :?

Tis looking good Draino......nice work. I never had a problem in the widow area, just around the main product takeoff. Im kinda supprised you managed to distort it in that area as you shouldnt have had to get to much heat into it.

SBB
I silver soldered the mounts to the stainless back of the windows :handgestures-thumbupleft: , then looked at the soft solder and said to myself "fuck using that" and silver soldered the mounts to the column, Its surprising how much heat is sucked away by 4" copper pipe :o , in hindsight I should'a soft soldered them on, would'a been less work in the end :? :? , but its all good now again
I can get to and assemble it now , and maybe be ready for plumbing the condensers tomorrow 8-)

Kimbo
An old mate of 38 yrs is a fitter & turner, he custom made em for me and give them to me for my 50th birthday pressy, they were specially made to fit Punkins glasses and seals, for future parts availability if needed
we were gunna make em outta copper, but couldn't copper big enough at a sensible price

So to me....they are something special :violin:
