G'day 5Star
those thermo's are the ones fitted to the still spirit turbo 500 , they are the ones with the metal cap on the sensor( they have 2 types fitted to them), I got 'em at the local HBS for $ 25 ea

Cheers

S.D,
on the back pic, whats the red valve that runs to the middle of the delph for?

And where are the 2 temp probes located?

The 1/4" valve at the back is the air bleed for the deflag.the tube is cut at a 45 deg on the end and goes up to the top internally,
one sensor is the top of column just under the the deflag. temperature, and the other senses the water temp.on the deflag. outlet :d

Delph, deflag :laughing-rolling:

It's actually pronounced "DEF LA MATOR " :laughing-rolling:

Or if you want to be really techo about it "reflux condenser" :teasing-neener:

All jokes aside i think Draino and I can get these for a reasonable price if anyone gets stuck and wants one.
Most home brew shops should have a spare in stock or should be able to order one.

Sent stubbydrainer a couple of PM's with questions about the thermo's and also on building a column. I don't know whether he's ignoring me on purpose or whether he's just reached his mailbox limit and hadn't noticed.

I'd like to think it was the second one :?

Sorry 5Star
It was a case of catching up with SBB to find out what he mean't by his post, Yhe only contact I have is , walk off the street and by 'em at the HBS, SBB does get a sorta discount there at times, but like I said , $ 25 ea is what I paid

As above with "stuck" being the word......Thats what I pay for em to Draino.....I only get my Demijohns cheaper than you :laughing-rolling:
They are just a stock standard T500 thermometer and should be available at most homebrew shops that stock T500s
I think they are probably as accurate as your going to get for those sort of $$$$ with the bonus of staying turned on and having a good sized readout thats easy to see.
